We strive to provide the highest possible standards of therapeutic care and education and nurture to our children and young people, continual support and development of our colleagues and workforce, investment in and improvement of the facilitating environments, and increased understanding of the Management Task.
The Lioncare Group is committed to offering a therapeutic living-learning environment that works for the children, young people, and adults, around which it has evolved.
We have experienced the new-style OfSTED Inspection Framework (SCCIF) and fundamentalist-like approach of certain inspectors as unlike anything we have experienced previously, culminating in the closure of Seafields Therapeutic Children’s Home after 26 years continuous operation, a difficult relationship with our Regulators, and the loss of several valued and respected and experienced colleagues from across the organisation.
However, we have gained valuable experiential learning from this and continue to work hard at meeting the raised standards expected and demanded by the Regulation and through the SCCIF inspection framework; we have every confidence that compliance with these will shortly match the higher than expected and demanded standards we already achieve in relation to the actual care of the children placed with The Lioncare Group in our homes and in our school.
We are very appreciative of the dedication, commitment, and personal investment given by all the adults working in our school and homes, and we thank you all.
We welcome and encourage visits by anyone seeking to place a child or young person in our school or our homes, so you can form your own opinion as to how well we are doing.
