On Wednesday 4th September the whole of The Lioncare Group came together to host a surprise party in the garden at Springfields Therapeutic Children's Home. The party was held to acknowledge and celebrate the occasion of Jane Rayner, Assistant Director for Care and Support, achieving her 20th Anniversary of joining the organisation on 30th August 1999. After recovering from the initial shock of seeing everyone gathered in her honour, Jane spent a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon receiving gifts from the children and her colleagues, listening to a speech by the Executive Director recounting her journey and career and achievements with the organisation, and catching up with the children and her colleagues.
Rainbow Flag Award:
The Lioncare Group, led by The Lioncare School, is proud to announce it is working towards achieving The Rainbow Flag Award.
The Rainbow Flag Award is a national quality assurance framework for all schools and colleges, focusing on LGBT+, (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, plus other related identities), inclusion and visibility. The Rainbow Flag Award encourages a whole organisation approach to LGBT+ inclusion, as well as developing strategies to combat LGBTphobic bullying.
