The Lioncare Group offers a consultancy service based on the Group Relations model devised and developed by The Tavistock Institute. We provide process and strategic consultancy to teams and organisations, management coaching, individual role consultancy, and facilitation of small group-work.
Organisational consultancy can take many forms; coaching, small group-work, facilitating team away-days and supporting management strategy. Our method for intervention follows a model of consultancy known as ‘The Tavistock Approach’. This model does not produce answers to problems, but assists individual, groups, managers, and the organisation to explore and think about the real issues underlying the difficulties faced, and in so doing, empower the organisation in finding its own solutions.
This model differs from others in combining psychoanalytic theory, group psychodynamics, and systems thinking, to work on the conscious and unconscious processes operating at the individual, group, and organisational levels, and exploring the connections to, and manifestations in, the structures and functions in our work-based institutions and organisations. Much emphasis is placed on the importance of personal experience in affecting effective change, and the impact of interpersonal and intergroup relationships on the work-task.
